Obregon's Mexican Restaurant #2

Gumaro Obregón has always had an overflowing passion for cooking, especially for traditional Mexican cuisine. From a very young age, he was drawn to the restaurant industry, starting as an employee in various establishments. After gaining experience in the kitchen, he decided it was time to venture out on his own. What was once just a dream became a reality with the support and collaboration of his family. Thus, Gumaro Obregón opened the first Obregon’s Mexican Restaurant in 1983, located at 220 W Saunders St in Laredo, Texas.

They started with only 7 tables, but it was enough for Obregon’s restaurant to become famous for its delicious dishes and excellent service. After 10 years since its opening, the business expanded, adding 11 additional tables, and opening a second location at 303 Market St. Over the years, due to the growth and popularity the restaurant achieved in the city, three new locations were opened. Currently, Obregon’s has a total of 5 establishments. Their greatest daily motivation is to provide the best service to their customers, offering the most exquisite Mexican cuisine throughout Laredo.
